You Caught Me - San Juan, Puerto Rico

My travel in San Juan, Puerto Rico

A thinking back on Thursday of this moment. Here I sit in downtown San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had nothing particularly planned for this day yet it gave more than expected. Puerto Rico has been my favorite place thus far.

Yes, it has the beauty of the beaches. But I truly enjoyed the people. They were kind. Another could think it was them doing so to please tourists which is being nice (an action done to receive or from obligation.) No, it was genuine. Because kindness is being who you are.

A reason kindness is considered a virtue is due to the impact it has on others. When we receive this beautiful gift it stimulates different parts of us. This immense sharing of ourselves with others strengthens connection. The connection of oneself by promoting the release of hormones serotonin and other feel good chemical substances that allow healing and relaxation. While opening ourselves to seek positive relationships or experiences with others.

This is why we feel better, more alive, after a vacation. This is why I encourage people to have more experiences that induce joy. It's simply good for the soul. Consistently being in this state is wellbeing.

Here is a capture of a moment of appreciation from kindness. A smile from the inside that extends out. It is the reverberation of a great memory that I share with you.

Be well to enjoy life!
