I am grateful to announce the upcoming release of my book, The Trees Married Them, on March 16, 2026. A lyrical work of magical realism told from the voices of the trees. The main character is the Ancestor Tree in Congo Square in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

The story follows the intertwined destinies of people separated by oceans and histories yet joined by spirit: Indigenous communities of the Americas, West Africans forced into migration, and later generations who inherit both the wounds and wisdom of their ancestors. 

At the heart of this novella are love stories that cross cultures and centuries. 

Rooted in spirituality, ancestry, and ecological consciousness, The Trees Married Them is a meditation on interconnectedness.
