Are You Ready For The Crossover - Golden Gate Bridge

I revisited the bay area in 2019 with a college friend. It was cold. But it was still enjoyable. We decided to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. I stepped out of the car to feel the cool temperature hit my face and thick fog block my field of vision. We looked at each other with a question as to if this was a good idea. Nevertheless, our decision remained unchanged, so we stayed. The original goal was to just get there, stand upon the bridge then leave. But as we walked upon it, we said to each other, "We have to see the other side of this. We must crossover."
The bridge is only 1.7 miles. Easy right. Now include the extra effects: tiredness, not so great weather for us, increased heights and over water. We took a couple of breaks on our way to the other side. And would ask each other, "Do you want to go back?" Both of us answered no each time. Making it a stroll instead of a race.
Finally, we made it to the other side. It was more than a physical accomplishment. My dear friend and I looked at each other as tears ran down our faces. A language of love that needed no words. It made us think of the many situations we have been through in our past. The many phone calls we had talking of hardships we desired to be transformed into better for our future.
Now let us pause for a moment and compare. Because I wish to stay away from going down the rabbit hole of focusing on considered bad or problems. Let us instead give attention to how to switch the frequency. You see, the bridge can be a problem or circumstance in our lives that seems impossible. The cold can be the feeling or distraction to make us think we will not make it. The tiredness is wanting to give up. The bridge over deep water is fear. And the fog is the biggest part to me. The fog is our faith. Often when we cannot see the other side or predict an outcome we choose not to believe. We want to do like my friend, and I originally planned which was to only look at the bridge (situation or problem) then leave. However, nothing changes until we are willing to change. The blessing or what we initially asked for is there waiting for us on the other side, the crossover. Keep walking, being in faith.

Peace and Blessings,
~NSS
