How I Met God On Mammoth Mountain

On top of Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes California

On this day, August 28th of 2024, I celebrated my 50th birthday. For this monumental moment of the journey within my life, I experienced beautiful memories in Mammoth Lakes, California. I enjoyed my stay at the Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth. Which greeted me with a lovely gift in our suite. Grateful!

I planned this trip months prior to immerse myself in nature and hike new trails. I love doing these things. Little did I know that there was another gift awaiting me. Of the heavenly landscapes in this Northern California town there are mountains of various sizes. The highest is named Mammoth Lakes Mountain. Its summit, peak, elevation is 11,053 feet above sea level. Yes, that is very high. The air is different up there due to lower oxygen molecules.

To reach the top, you must take a gondola ride. Initially, I thought this would be easy. From the bottom or lower level, it seemed that way. Well, as my husband and I slowly inclined up the cable our thoughts changed. We talked and laughed for about the first 100 feet. As we gazed to the ground, fear briefly crept in.

Finally, our gondola met the man opening our door at the top saying, “Welcome to Mammoth Mountain.” The fear left to be replaced with amazement and relief. We looked at each other and said, “we made it!”

As I stood at the top, I realized what happened and why this was placed in my soul to choose. The Divine Creator was telling me to go higher. This is how I met God on Mammoth Mountain. This is how we all can. It was revealed to me that each level of awareness equated to the various elevations I went through as I inclined in the cable car. The fear came from the unknowing and leaving what was behind me. Such as life right. The shaking of my prior existence to something new. Which we will experience when going to unfamiliar physical and mental spaces. The higher elevations equated to higher, better, levels of consciousness. This causes expansion of our minds. Openness for transformation is the best way to fuel the subconscious. For what we feed our mental spaces guides the subconscious/spirit. It is the god seed within us. Always wanting the best for us. Awaiting permission to lead. Always seeking connection to Divine Source Creator, God.

This calling, yearning, of my spirit happens before big changes in my life. A blowing of the horn. Which lets me know what the spiritual teachings meant when they went to the mountain. They went to higher states of themselves to align, commune, with God. For this to happen we must be willing to leave the unfamiliar. Yes, it will be uncomfortable but there is a great reward waiting for you at the top of each mountain you climb. So, are you ready to go higher? May you be in allowance to be transformed.

Peace and blessings,
