What Happened at San Francisco Airport

As I sit in San Francisco California, SFO, airport I am watching a selective video on YouTube. Amid the busy people and numerous situations going on around me. I tuned out to tune in. I said I was watching a selective video because I chose it over it forcing itself on me. A video as I waited to nourish my soul. I unlocked my attention from it to make a call. After doing so I smiled. It reminded me of the first time I knew it was possible to do this.
About 15 years ago, I sat in a noisy lobby waiting to finish an appointment. As I sat, I chose to read a book that I brought along, "Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul" by Deepak Chopra. After reading a chapter or so I was gone. I silenced everything around me. I tuned out to tune in. I had to unlock the thought to remember where I was. I didn't want to miss my name.
Later I went over it in my mind. It baffled me at first as to how I decreased the noise around me by locking into my choice of thought. Which was something that brought me peace of mind.
Years later and I have experienced this more over. Years later and I remind myself that I get to choose what thoughts I hold onto. Tuning in to tune out works in similarity to watching a television show or listening to a radio. They are channels, frequencies. Each thought we hold unto creates thinking that results in belief. These beliefs create our lives.
We can create a new way of living by creating new beliefs. Choosing to tune into that which uplifts us, allows us to have increased awareness and what is best for us. There will be countless situations constantly in motion around us and many thoughts will go through our minds. But we can select our thoughts. I encourage you to be selective in the channels you subscribe to mentally and emotionally. Your wellbeing depends on it.
Be well to enjoy life!
