A girl raised in a town outside Chicago called Harvey, Illinois.

A woman I became from living in different places (mentally and physically) and life experiences. 

Circumstances can be our greatest teachers if we allow it. 

 In this passing, time on Earth, I have been in multiple 

roles including a nurse. In which I have cared for many people in various areas including:

hospice, detox, pediatrics, geriatrics and more.

  From this I learned that people needed more than medical help. They were seeking a listening ear or

someone to see them as more than a body. The patients taught me to see them as beings.

For we are more than our bodies. We are the spirits that are housed within. 

It showed me to treat each part of them.

(spirit, mind, body, and emotions.)

 It led me to create my business, "Nikei S Salas Holistic Coaching" and my 

first book, "Black Girl Gone Guru" to share bits of my journey to assist others in their healing.

 In it I speak to transforming the unfortunate or considered bad circumstances into good.

And life lessons of overcoming.

 For obstacles are needed sometimes to help us to grow.

My education includes cosmetology that began my learning the importance of caring for our bodies.

I attended Kankakee Community College for nursing with more focus on how our biological processes work.

To add later a bachelor’s degree of science in Health and Wellness

from Purdue University with much research on emotional health and sociology. 

All of this has evolved my holistic teaching and helped me to lead others to their well-being.

I am forever seeking wisdom from the Divine's universe, the best education. 

And always open to receive the new teachings. 

I am grateful for my writings that have given me a nomination of the 

Indie Author Legacy Award, category spirituality, for my book, "Black Girl Gone Guru."

Also, I am a lover of nature, great food, great movies, and travel. Traveling to enjoy life but also

to meet new people over the world to broaden my knowledge of how we are as beings.

To broaden my perspective of myself and others.

 I am gifted with spiritual hearing and visions to guide others on their path. 

Which I am so grateful for. And graciously use to help others.
